Solution

Let list price = Rs. $$100x$$

After first discount of 15%, price = $$100x \times \frac{85}{100}=85x$$

After second discount of 20%, price = $$85x \times \frac{80}{100}=68x$$

After third discount of 25%, price = $$68x \times \frac{75}{100}=51x$$

=> Equivalent discount = $$\frac{100x-51x}{100x} \times 100$$

= $$49\%$$

=> Ans - (B)
