Rs. 490 is divided among A, B and C such that A's share is half that of B's and thrice that of C's. What is C's share?
Solution
Let C's share = Rs. $$x$$
=> A's share = Rs. $$3x$$ and B's share = Rs. $$6x$$
Total amount = Rs. 490
=> $$3x+6x+x=10x=490$$
=> $$x=\frac{490}{10}=49$$
$$\therefore$$ C's share = Rs. 49
