A certain number of men can complete a book in 10 days. If there were three more men, then book could be completed in 2 days less. How many men were there in the beginning?
Let number of men in the beginning = $$x$$
According to ques,
=> $$x\times10=(x+3)(10-2)$$
=> $$10x=8x+24$$
=> $$10x-8x=2x=24$$
=> $$x=\frac{24}{2}=12$$
Thus, there were 12 men in the beginning.
