Question 14

In the following question, correct the equation by interchanging two signs.

4 - 10 x 5 + 9 ÷ 3 = 51

Solution

Expression : 4 - 10 x 5 + 9 ÷ 3 = 51

(A) : $$4\times10-5+9\div3=51$$

L.H.S. = $$40-5+3=38\neq$$ R.H.S.

(B) : $$4-10\div5+9\times3=51$$

L.H.S. = $$4-2+27=29\neq$$ R.H.S.

(C) : $$4+10\times5-9\div3=51$$

L.H.S. = $$4+50-3=51=$$ R.H.S.

=> Ans - (C)
