Question 13

In a certain code language, "OPTIMIST" is written as "LKRNRGHG". How is "PESSIMIST" written in that code language?

Solution

"OPTIMIST" is written as "LKRNRGHG"

The pattern followed is that every letter is opposite to each other. But their positions are changed. Eg - The first two and last two letters are written as it is, but the middle letters are written in reverse order.

Now, OP -> LK and ST -> HG

But, middle letters, i.e. TIMI -> GRNR is written in reverse order as RNRG

Similarly, for PESSIMIST :

PE -> KV and ST -> HG

and SSIMI -> HHRNR ,in reverse order will be RNRHH

Thus, PESSIMIST : KVRNRHHHG

=> Ans - (D)
