What is the ratio between total Graduate population of State D and total Standard XII population of that State respectively ?

Solution

Total Graduate population of State D = $$\frac{17}{100} \times 24$$ lakhs

Total Standard XII population of State D = $$\frac{12}{100} \times 32$$ lakhs

=> Required ratio = $$(\frac{17}{100} \times 24) : (\frac{12}{100} \times 32)$$

= $$(17 \times 3) : (12 \times 4)$$

= $$17 : 16$$
