What is the ratio of the number of workers in the company whose age is 28 years or more but less than 40 years to the number of workers whose age is 40 years or more but less than 52 years?

Solution

Number of workers in the company whose age is 28 years or more but less than 40 years = 90 + 85 + 70 = 245

Number of workers whose age is 40 years or more but less than 52 years = 75 + 80 + 55 = 210

=> Required ratio = $$\frac{245}{210}=7:6$$

=> Ans - (A)
