IIM Shillong Eligibility Criteria 2025

Prior to applying for admission to the MBA program at IIM Shillong, candidates must check whether they meet their IIM Shillong eligibility criteria. The IIM Shillong eligibility criteria are given below.

• Candidates should hold a graduate degree with at least 50 percent marks or an equivalent CGPA from a recognized university.

IIM Shillong Selection Criteria 2025-2027

1. CAT 2024 Score
   • CAT has a significant weight in both the Pre-PI (65%) and Post-PI (40%) stages.
   • The minimum percentile requirements vary by category, with 75%while overall for General and EWS categories, and 50%lie overall for ST and PwD categories.
   • Each section (VARC, DILR, QA) must meet individual percentile cut-offs.
2. Academic Performance
   • Academic scores would mean 35% of the Composite Score in shortlisting
   • Class 10 and Class 12 marks would be scored separately as well. The evaluation scales are slightly different for Science, Commerce, and Arts streams.
     
3. Work Experience
   • It is measured upon the period of one's professional experience, highest being at 24-30 months of work experience.
   • Post-PI, your rank might depend on how well and relevant your work experience is.
4. IIM Shillong Personal Interview (PI)
   • This PI accounts for 40 percent in the final selection process and is a key component in the admission process.
5. Gender and Academic Diversity
   • Diversity points contribute 10% to the overall score.
6. Final Admission Criteria
   • The final selection is based on a Composite Score that includes CAT (40%), PI (40%), Academic Rating (10%), and Diversity (10%).

IIM Shillong Application Process 2025

IIM Shillong Selection Criteria for the PGP batch 2025-27 is divided into two phases:

1. Phase 1: Shortlisting candidates for the Personal Interview (PI).
2. Phase 2: Final selection based on a composite score.

Phase 1: IIM Shillong Minimum Cut off 2025

1. Candidates applying to IIM Shillong through CAT 2024 must meet the minimum sectional and overall percentile requirements in CAT, as shown in the table below:

3. Candidates will be assigned a final composite score based on the above indicators. The normalized score is computed based on the whole lot of aspirants appearing in CAT 2024 and applying to IIM Shillong.

4. After composite scores, candidates will be clustered by their academic diversity. Further, eligible candidates will be grouped according to their social category.

5. In the end, a sum of X number of candidates will be shortlisted for the PI process. X will be decided on the CAT 2024 performance, seats IIM Shillong has to offer.

Phase 2: IIM Shillong Shortlisting Criteria

To arrive at the final merit list, The CAT score + Composite score + Gender score of the shortlisted candidates are used. To encourage gender diversity 10 points are awarded to the candidates representing the lower proportion of the eligible pool.
