IIM Calcutta Placements 2024
Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, is one of the prestigious colleges in India. It offers a two-year, full-time residential MBA Program. It accepts CAT and GMAT entrance tests for admissions. IIM Calcutta placement process has two phases: Lateral Placement and Final Placement. Lateral placements are for candidates with prior work experience, while final placements are for the entire eligible batch. The final placement process generally takes place during Term VI. Consulting, Finance, General Management, and Product Management were the dominant sectors in this year’s placement season

IIM Calcutta Placement Report 2024
This year, IIM Calcutta repeated its history of excellent placements for its MBA class of 2024. More than 190 firms participated, rolling out 529 offers to the students. More than 25 firms participated in the lateral process, rolling out more than 70 offers in various sectors.
Firms like Microsoft, Vector Consulting, Tech Mahindra, Ola, Yubi, and KPMG Lower Gulf were part of the lateral process. Firms like Accenture Strategy, BNP Paribas, TCS, and PWC rolled out more than 100 offers.
Bernstein, BLS International, DTDC Express Ltd., Haleon, and HDFC Ergo were some of the prominent first-time recruiters this year, along with international firms like Infosys Global, Jindal Shadeed, and KPMG Lower Gulf.

IIM Calcutta Summer Placement 2025
The summer placement process for the 60th batch (Class of 2025) was conducted in the second week of October 2023. Over 131 firms participated, making more than 500 offers. The process was completed with impressive offers extended to all participating students. The institute ensured smooth onboarding for both recruiters and students. The average stipend stood at INR 1.65 lakh per month.

This year, IIM Calcutta witnessed remarkable placement trends with a strong presence of recruiters from diverse sectors. Firms like Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, Ola, Accenture Strategy, BNP Paribas, and TCS were among the top recruiters.

IIM Calcutta Placements Analysis
The 59th batch of the MBA Programme had 468 students who received their degrees. Among them, Ashish Mittal and Nayar Rishabh Jayaprasad secured the 1st rank, while DS Abhishek was the 3rd rank holder.
Out of the 480 students admitted to the MBA Programme during 2023-24, approximately 70.42% were engineers, and most had prior work experience.
