Simple Pendulum

A simple pendulum consists of a point mass suspended by a massless, inextensible string that oscillates about its mean position.

### Time Period

$$T=2\pi\sqrt{\frac{l}{g}}$$

### Terminologies

- T β†’ Time period.

- l β†’ Length of pendulum.

- g β†’ Acceleration due to gravity.

### Conditions / Special Cases

Valid for small angular displacement:

$$\theta<10^\circ$$

Time period is independent of mass.

### Usage

- Used in pendulum oscillation problems.
