PUMBA Eligibility Criteria

At PUMBA, eligibility criteria for admission to MBA program IS as follows:

  • A minimum score of 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA in any bachelor's degree awarded by recognized University.
  • For candidates belonging to reserved category and persons with disabilities, a minimum of 45 percent marks is required.
  • Candidates in their final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, given that they submit the required documents by the specified deadline.
  • Test scores from examinations like CAT, CMAT, and MAH-CET are accepted for admission consideration.

PUMBA Selection Process 2024

The admission process for admission into MBA program at PUMBA closely aligns with the MAH CET MBA registration process. The MAH CET MBA examination is expected to take place on March 2024. Candidates must note that PUMBA strictly follows the DTE rules for its admission process of MBA program.

  • For Maharashtra candidates, admission to PUMBA MBA programs requires a valid MAH CET exam score. However, candidates from outside Maharashtra with valid scores in CMAT/CAT/MAH CET are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicants' selection for PUMBA MBA rounds will depend on their performance in CMAT/CAT/MAH CET MBA exams. The MAH CET MBA 2024 results will be published online by the authorities.
  • Candidates must achieve the minimum cutoff scores set up by the institution for various qualifying examinations to advance to the selection process. Typically, for the General category, the cutoff scores hover around 97% in the entrance exam.
  • Candidates who pass the MH-CET will need to participate in the CAP process. Those from states other than Maharashtra must apply for CAP through the DTE website. CAP consists of four rounds: the first three are based on Centralized Allotment, while the fourth is exclusively for eligible candidates from Maharashtra.
  • Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria will be selected and invited to participate in the counseling session.
