MDI Gurgaon Admission: Overview
Management Development Institute, Gurgaon offers many postgraduate programmes including PGDM, PGDM (HR), PGDM (IB), executive programmes and fellowship programmes. Admission to PGDM will be done based on CAT score and performance in GD/PI. The application for MDI PGDM programmes usually opens in November/December, however, candidates with work experience can apply for PGDM (Executive) programmes for which the application portal is open much later.
MDI Gurgaon Eligibility Criteria
MDI Gurgaon always encourages good academic records. Here are the key eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have at least 50% marks scored or equivalent % in Class X and XII.
- A minimum of a three-year Bachelor's Degree for PGDM, PGDM-HRM, and PGDM-Business Analytics programs with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in any field from a University recognized by the AICTE/AIU/ Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
- A minimum of four years of graduation is compulsory for PGDM-IB.
- This implies that if a student doesn't have a four-year degree, they aren’t eligible for the PGDM-IB programme.
- Candidates in their final year are also eligible confirming that they will graduate before they join the college.
MDI Gurgaon Admission Process
MDI Gurgaon has an extensive admission process. Candidates who want to be admitted need to meet the eligibility criteria and be selected based on the selection process. For the candidate's reference, the MDI Gurgaon admission process is explained below:
Step 1: MDI Gurgaon Online Application
All the candidates who are willing to apply for MDI have to fill out a separate application form through its online portal. Here are the key details of the application process:
- The process of online application form for programmes (PGDM/PGDM-BA/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB) is usually available in September and lasts till November.
- The application fee for the MDI application form is Rs. 3,000 (inclusive of 18% GST), irrespective of the number of programs you apply for.
- NRI Candidates for MDI Gurgaon will have to make an online payment of Rs. 8,496 (inclusive of 18% GST).
You need to select the programme you wish to apply to in the application form.
Step 2: Shortlisting for GD and PI
MDI Gurgaon shortlists based on their CAT scores and the information provided in their application forms for the next process round, i.e., GD & PI. Shortlisted candidates are called for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews between February and April. The centre can be one of the following cities: Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai.
Step 3: Final Selection
The final shortlist of candidates is prepared based on the score in CAT scores, performance in GD & PI, academic merit, academic diversity, work experience, and social diversity.
