IMT Hyderabad offers AICTE approved PGDM programs with diverse specialisations such as marketing, finance, IT etc. Admissions for batch of 2024 are open and IMT Hyderabad will accept CAT 2023 ,XAT 2024 ,CMAT 2024 and GMAT scores for admission. This blog would discuss in the detail the eligibility criteria, admission process and scholarships offered by the institute.
IMT Hyderabad Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria is same for the General PGDM and all its specialization programs. The eligibility criteria is as mentioned below-
- The candidate must possess minimum three years Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
- In addition to a recognized graduate degree, the candidate must have take one of the following exams namely CAT 2023/ XAT 2024 CMAT 2024 or GMAT (Taken between Jan 1, 2020 and February 2024) and should have secured minimum cutoff marks as notified by the institute.
Note- In case the candidates are applying through GMAT and have not provided their scores, processing of application would be done provisionally, subject to institute receiving the official GMAT score on or before February 28, 2024.
- Candidates those who are in final year of their graduation or are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply subject to submission of all mark sheets and pass certificate to IMT Hyderabad 's Academic Program office at a later date. If the candidates fail to do so , their admission will be deemed cancelled by the institute.
For PGDM Executive program the eligibility criteria is -
- Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks.
- Full time corporate work experience of minimum three years.
IMT Hyderabad Admission Process 2024
Registration-
The candidates who are interrested to apply at IMT Hyderabad need to fill up the application form available at the official website- https://www.imthyderabad.edu.in/admissions/pgdm
IMT Hyderabad admission 2024 Application Fee is INR 3500.
Payment can be made online through credit card / debit card or net banking. If the candidate cancels the admission at any point of time, the application fees would not be refunded.
Graduates with or without experience who are interested in management sector or young working professionals with work experience can apply for the PGDM programs. Those who have 3+ years of experience can apply for PGDM Executive Program.
Shortlisting of Profiles:
The selection and shortlisting of profiles is done in a two step method- first on the basis of profile and cutoffs and then the final selection after personal interviews are conducted.
IMT Hyderabad considers diversity in terms of regional background, educational background , gender and work experience while shortlisting candidates for further stages. As per them this diversity not only improves students' educational experience but also prepares them well for their future work place settings.
In addition to meeting the basic minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned above , the candidates should possess atleast one of the following capabilities to stand above others and receive a call for PI round-
- Bachelors in any discipline as per AICTE basic eligibility criteria from a reputable and premium undergraduate college/university within India or from ranked foreign university.
- High test scores in CAT / XAT / GMAT / CMAT.
- Representation at national/ international level in sports.
- Any special or exceptional talent or skill that can be proven through Govt.certified documents, public awards or rewards.
- Exceptional work experience- Candidates having work ex will receive extra scores . The condition for the same is that it should be atleast 24 months of experience gained from leading national/foreign multinationals. Internship, articleship or part time work won't be considered.
Personal Interviews
- Candidates are required to submit a Profile Detail Form (PDF) and SOP of around 300 words.
- Shortlisted candidates will be asked to share a one minute video giving their introduction, background and career aspirations.
- Interviews will be conducted online as per the date and time notified by the institute.
Final Merit
The final merit list would be released taking in the cumulative weighted average of the following components-
- CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT (best score)
- Academic Scores (10th, 12th and graduation).Quality/ Reputation and ranking of graduating college/instutute/university.
- Performance in Critical Thinking Test and Personal Interview.
- Work experience both the number of months served and the reputation of the organization
- Exceptional academics and entrance scores.
Scholarships at IMT Hyderabad
Tuition FEE Waiver (TFW) Scheme-
Candidates eligible and shortlisted for this scheme will receive a 100% academic fee waiver. However they are required to pay all other components except academic or tuition fees.
Smt. Leela Nath Memorial Scholarship-
All female candidates joining IMT Hyderabad institute in any of the PGDM programs are eligible to receive a scholarship of 20% on the academic fees component.
Merit Based Scholarships-
Candidates who have secured 90%ile + marks in CAT/XAT or 650+ absolute score in GMAT are eligible to receive a scholarship of 40% on academic fees.
Note- Candidates who are eligible for more than one of the internships , can avail only one.
Frequently Asked Questions
If I choose to submit more than one type of entrance score will I be required to pay a separate fee for each score?
No, you can apply through one or all the entrance exams mentioned (CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT) without paying any extra fees.
Is there one Common Application Form for all the campuses ?
There is one Common Application Form for 4 campuses- Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai. You have to select atleast two of the campus preferences.
How do we provide copies of CAT, XAT, GMAT or CMAT scores?
CAT and XAT scores are provided by the test conducting agency itself. CMAT and GMAT scores need to be updated manually in the application form once the results are released.
Can I fill more than one application and appear more than one time in selection process?
No, each candidate can fill application form only once. Breaching of the same will be considered as fraudulent activity and the application of the candidate will be cancelled by the institute.
