BIMTECH Admission Process

Step 1: Application

• Application form which is common for all programmes is available on the official website of BIMTECH- http://www.bimtech.ac.in
• The application fees for the form is INR 2000 and can be filled through Credit/Debit card.

Step 2: Selection Process

Candidates who have got a minimum percentile as notified by the institute in qualifying tests such as CAT/XAT/GMAT/MAT/CMAT would be called upon for second stage of Personal Interview (PI).

A special initiative taken up by the institute to avoid possible overlapping of selection process with other B-schools is to conduct an early phase(First Phase) of interviews in December itself before the declaration of CAT/XAT results. Candidates who have applied on or before December 2nd 2023 will be called up for this round depending on their overall profile. Two important components along which they will be judged upon are-

• Consistency and good academic profile
• Relevant Work Experience

Such candidates who appear in the first round of interview will be required to upload their entrance test percentiles (CAT/XAT/GMAT/MAT/CMAT) as soon as they are released. The result is likely to be released with 10 days of CAT/XAT results approximately till 2nd week of March.

Second Phase of Interviews would be conducted post CAT/XAT results most probably after the second week of February .Candidates who meet the cutoffs as decided by the institute would be called for this round of interview. The admission offer letter for this round will be expected in second week of March.

Note- The interviews will be held in online mode and only offline at BIMTECH Greater Noida campus for both first and second phase. Candidates are required to update their entrance test percentiles in the online application form itself .

Step 3: Declaration of Final Selection List

Final selection list is prepared once the interviews for both the phases are wrapped up. The merit list would be prepatred taking into account following parameters-

• Past Academic performance
• Entrance Test Scores (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT)
• One to one interaction in Personal Interview
• Work Experience (if applicable)
• Other parameters

Weightages given to different parameters is summarised in a table below-

Points to be noted:

*Additional weightage will also be given to candidates who have done Graduation from NIRF ranked (preceding year NIRF ranking) top 100 Colleges/
Universities/ Engineering Colleges.
** Weightage for work experience would ideally be given to a candidate only if he/she had worked in executive or supervisory role for a minimum period of
one year as on 31/01/2024, in a registered company having turnover of Rs. 50 crores or more in the preceding financial year i.e. 2022-23.
However, management reserves the right to relax this particular norm on the merit of the case, if the candidate is from a start-up, entrepreneurial or social
organization.

#For getting regional weightage, submission of valid proof of residence is must. The domicile certificate issued by a competent authority or copy of
passport/Aadhar etc. can be submitted as an additional document.
## For getting ESCS category weightage, relevant certificate issued by a competent authority for EWS/SC/ST/OBC/Minority Communities (Muslim / Sikh /
Christian / Buddhist / Parsi / Jain) has to be submitted. Management reserves the right to make minor changes to address diversity on gender and social
parameters.

Step 4: Admission :

The candidates who are selected through the final list and are offered admission letter are required to submit the first installment of the tuition fees. Failing to do so will result in passing of the offer to wait-listed candidates. The fees for boarding/lodging needs to be paid later at a separate date as notified by the institute.

• CAT/XAT/GMAT/MAT/CMAT score is not required for Corporate, NRI, NRI sponsored categories & Supernumerary seats.
• Candidates who are in final year of their graduation can also apply provided they submit their final graduation results with minimum 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st October 2024. Failing to do so will result in automatic cancellation of their admission.

BIMTECH offers Late Basant Kumar Birla Admission Merit Scholarship for partial waiver of fee to all the admitted candidates from merit category.
