In each question, two equations I and II have been given. You have to solve these equations and give the appropriate answer

Question 97

I. $$p=(-10)^2$$
II. $$q^2+q-9900=0$$

Solution

$$p=(-10)^2$$ => p = 100

$$q^2+q-9900=0$$ => (q+100)(q-99) = 0

So, q = -100 or 99

So, p is certainly greater than q.

Hence, the answer is (b).
