Question 94

At what point does the line 3x + y = -6 intercept the x-axis?

Solution

The line $$3x + y = -6$$ will intercept the x-axis at $$y = 0$$

Thus, substituting value of y in above equation

=> $$3x + 0 = -6$$

=> $$x = \frac{-6}{3} = -2$$

Thus, the line will intercept x axis at (-2,0)

=> Ans - (B)
