ΔABC is right angled at B. BD is the altitude. AD is 8 cm and DC is 50 cm. What is the length of BD?
Solution
Let BD = $$x$$ cm
Using, $$(BD)^2 = (AD) \times (CD)$$
=> $$(x)^2 = 8 \times 50 = 400$$
=> $$x = \sqrt{400} = 20$$ cm
=> Ans - (B)
