When a number is increased by 21, it becomes 114% of itself. What is the number?

Solution

Let the number be $$100x$$

According to ques, => $$100x + 21 = \frac{114}{100} \times 100x$$

=> $$100x + 21 = 114x$$

=> $$114x - 100x = 21$$

=> $$x = \frac{21}{14} = 1.5$$

$$\therefore$$ Number = $$100 \times 1.5 = 150$$

=> Ans - (A)
