In ΔABC, the angle bisector of ∠A cuts BC at E. Find the length of AC if lengths of AB, BE and EC are 9.6 cm, 4 cm and 3 cm?
AE is the angle bisector and let AC = $$x$$ cm
Using angle bisector theorem,
=> $$\frac{AB}{BE} = \frac{AC}{CE}$$
=> $$\frac{9.6}{4} = \frac{x}{3}$$
=> $$x = 2.4 \times 3 = 7.2$$ cm
