Question 86

An angle is thrice its complementary angle. What is the measure of the angle?

Let the angle = $$\theta$$

Its complementary angle = $$(3\theta)$$

Sum of an angle and its complementary angle = 90°

=> $$\theta + (3\theta) = 90$$°

=> $$4 \theta = 90$$°

=> $$\theta = \frac{90}{4} = 22.5$$°

$$\therefore$$ Measure of the angle = $$3 \times 22.5 = 67.5$$°

=> Ans - (D)
