Question 83

A, B and C are three students. A got 36% less marks than B and 16% more marks than C. If B got 145 marks, then what are the marks got by C?

B's marks = 145

A got 36% less marks than B

=> A's marks = $$145-(\frac{36}{100}\times145)=92.8$$

Also, A got 16% more marks than C

=> C's marks = $$92.8\times\frac{100}{(100+16)}$$

= $$\frac{9280}{116}=80$$

=> Ans - (C)
