A carpenter can build a cupboard in 64 hours. After 16 hours he takes a break. What fraction of the cupboard is yet to be built?

Solution

Time taken to build the cupboard = 64 hours

Time spent = 16 hours

=> Fraction of the cupboard yet to be built = $$\frac{(64 - 16)}{64} = \frac{48}{64}$$

= $$\frac{3}{4} = 0.75$$

=> Ans - (B)
