Question 80

If 3A = 2B = 4C; then what is A : B : C?

Solution

Let $$3A = 2B = 4C = k$$

=> $$A = \frac{k}{3}$$ , $$B = \frac{k}{2}$$ , $$C = \frac{k}{4}$$

=> Ratio of A : B : C = $$\frac{k}{3} : \frac{k}{2} : \frac{k}{4}$$

= $$\frac{1}{3}$$ : $$\frac{1}{2}$$ : $$\frac{1}{4}$$

L.C.M. of 3,2 and 4 = 12, thus multiplying by 12, we get :

= $$\frac{12}{3} : \frac{12}{2} : \frac{12}{4}$$

= 4 : 6 : 3

=> Ans - (C)
