The ratio of three numbers is 2 : 5 : 7. If their product is 1890, then what is the sum of the three numbers?
Solution
Let the numbers be $$2x,5x$$ and $$7x$$
Product = $$(2x)\times(5x)\times(7x)=1890$$
=> $$x^3=\frac{1890}{70}=27$$
=> $$x=\sqrt[3]{27}=3$$
$$\therefore$$ Sum of numbers = $$2x+5x+7x=14x$$
= $$14\times3=42$$
=> Ans - (C)
