If $$\frac{3}{5}$$ of x is equal to $$\frac{4}{9}$$ of y, then what is the ratio of x and y?
Solution
Given : $$\frac{3}{5}x=\frac{4}{9}y$$
=> $$\frac{x}{y}=\frac{4}{9}\times\frac{5}{3}$$
=> $$\frac{x}{y}=\frac{20}{27}$$
$$\therefore$$ Ratio = $$x:y=20:27$$
