R(a,b) after reflection at the origin = (-a,-b)

Reflection of point (-a,-b) in the x-axis is (-a,b)

According to ques,

=> $$(-a,b) = (4,2)$$

=> $$a = -4$$ and $$b = 2$$

$$\therefore$$ Coordinates of Point R = (-4,2)
