Question 78

The lengths of two parallel sides of a trapezium are 21 cm and 9 cm. If its height is 10 cm, then what is the area $$(in cm^2)$$ of the trapezium?

Solution

Sum of parallel sides of trapezium = 21+9 = 30 cm

Height = $$h$$ = 10 cm

Area of trapezium = $$\frac{1}{2}\times h \times$$ (sum of parallel sides)

= $$\frac{1}{2}\times10\times30$$

= $$10\times15=150$$ $$cm^2$$

=> Ans - (C)
