Nirmit can do 2/3 of a job in 18 days. Kashish is twice as efficient as Nirmit. In how many days Kashish will complete the job?

Solution

Let total work to be done = 54 units

=> $$(\frac{2}{3})^{rd}$$ of the work = $$\frac{2}{3}\times54=36$$ units

According to ques, Nirmit can do 36 units of work in 18 days,

=> Nirmit's efficiency = $$\frac{36}{18}=2$$ units/day

=> Kashish's efficiency = $$2\times2=4$$ units/day

$$\therefore$$ Time taken by Kashish alone to finish the work = $$\frac{54}{4}=\frac{27}{2}$$ days

=> Ans - (B)
