Solution

Let the number which is to be decreased from each term = a

According to the problem,

$$\frac{16-a}{19-a}=\frac{7}{6}$$

$$\Rightarrow$$ 96 - 6a = 133 - 7a

$$\Rightarrow$$ a = 37

$$\therefore\ $$The number which is to be decreased from each term is 37.

Hence, the correct answer is Option D
