A shopkeeper purchased 10 chairs at the rate of ₹1,450 per chair and spent ₹600 as cartage. For how much should be sell each chair to earn 10% profit?

Given,

Number of chairs = 10

Cost price of each chair = ₹1450

Total cost price of 10 chairs = $$1450\times\ 10=14500$$

Shopkeeper spent ₹600 on cartage

now, the total effective cost of chairs = ₹14500 + ₹ 600 = ₹15100

Effective cost price of each chair = $$\frac{15100}{10}=₹1510$$

Selling price of each chair to earn 10% profit = $$1510\times\ \frac{110}{100}=\ ₹1661$$

Hence, Option B is correct.
