Question 7

If P : Q = 9 : 7, then what is the value of (P - Q) : (P + Q)?

Solution

Given = $$P:Q=9:7$$

Let $$P=9$$ and $$Q=7$$

To find = $$\frac{P-Q}{P+Q}$$

= $$\frac{9-7}{9+7}$$

= $$\frac{2}{16}=\frac{1}{8}$$

$$\therefore$$ Required ratio = $$1:8$$

=> Ans - (B)
