If 170% of a number added to 66, then the result becomes equal to twice of the number. What is the number?

Solution

Let the number be $$x$$

According to ques,

=> $$\frac{170}{100}x+66=2x$$

=> $$1.7x+66=2x$$

=> $$2x-1.7x=0.3x=66$$

=> $$x=\frac{66}{0.3}=220$$

=> Ans - (B)
