In a bag,the ratio of the number of 2 rupee, 1 rupee and 50 paise coins is 3 : 4: 5. If the total amount in the bag is ₹250, then how many 1 rupee coins are there?

Solution

1 Rs

50 paise = 0.5 Rs

Given that

$1\times1x + 0.5\times2x+0.25\times4x2$ = 250

12.5x= 250

X= 20

So 2 Rupee coins = 4×20

= 80
