Solution

Let total number of students = $$100x$$

=> Number of boys = $$\frac{70}{100}\times100x=70x$$

=> Number of girls = $$100x-70x=30x$$

According to ques, => $$30x=504$$

=> $$x=\frac{504}{30}=16.8$$

$$\therefore$$ Total number of boys = $$70\times16.8=1176$$

=> Ans - (A)
