Solution

Let the four numbers be 2x,5x,3x and 8x.
Sum of four numbers = 2x+5x+3x+8x = 18x
Given, 18x = 432 => x = 24
Then, Sum of first and last numbers = 2x+8x = 10x = 10*24 = 240.
