A can paint a house in 45 days and B can do it in 15 days. Along with C, they did the job in 5 days only. Then, C alone can do the job in how many days?
Solution
Let the total work be 45 units and work by A be 1unit/dayÂ
Now work by B will be 45/15 = 3 units per dayÂ
Now ABC together complete the work in 5 days
so their 1 day work = 9units
so C's one day work =9-1-3 =5
Now therefore C completes work in 45/5 = 9 days
