A,B and C together can finish a task in 7.5 days. C is thrice as productive as A and B alone can do the task in 15 days. In how many days can A and C do the job if B goes on leave?
Let work done by B be a units per dayÂ
Now therefore total work = 15aÂ
Now ABC does the work in 7.5 daysÂ
so thet do 15a/7.5 = 2a units of work per dayÂ
Now B does a units of work in a day
so A and C does a units of work in 1 dayÂ
Now total work =15a
A and C together does a units in 1 day
so they will complete 15a units of work in 15a/a = 15 days
