$$\triangle ABC \sim \triangle DEF$$ and their perimeters are 64 cm and 48 cm respectively. What is the length AB, if DE is equal to 9 cm ?
As we know that ratio of the corresponding sides of similar triangle is in the same ratio of their perimeter.
So, $$\frac{64}{48}=\frac{AB}{DE}$$
$$\frac{8}{6}=\frac{AB}{9}$$
Hence, AB = 12 cm
