The ratio between the speeds of twotrains is 2 : 5. If the first train runs 250 km in 5 h, then the difference between the speeds(in km/h) of both the trains is:
let speed of first train=S1 and speed of second train=S2
$$\frac{S1}{S2}$$=$$\frac{2}{5}$$
Speed of first train=$$\frac{distance}{time}$$=$$\frac{250}{5}$$=50 km/hr
from the ratio,
$$\frac{50}{S2}$$=$$\frac{2}{5}$$
S2=125 km/hr
difference between the speed of trains=S2-S1=125-50=75 km/hr
