A and B together have ₹ 1800. If $$\frac{4}{3}$$ of A's amount is equal to $$\frac{2}{3}$$ of B's amount, how much does B have?
Solution
Let the amount present with A be Rs.x
Then the amount with B = Rs.1800-x
Given, $$\dfrac{4}{3}x = \dfrac{2}{3}(1800-x)$$
=> 4x = 3600-2x => 6x = 3600 => x = 600
Therefore, Amount present with B = 1800-x = 1800-600 = Rs.1200
