Question 64

What is the slope of the line parallel to the line passing through the points (4,-2) and (-3,5)?

Solution

Slope of line passing through points (4,-2) and (-3,5)

= $$\frac{5 + 2}{-3 - 4} = \frac{7}{-7} = -1$$

Slope of two parallel lines is always equal.

=> Slope of the line parallel to the line having slope -1 = $$-1$$

=> Ans - (D)
