Given, Onward speed = 60 km/hr
Return speed = 90 km/hr
Average speed = $$\dfrac{2\times60\times90}{60+90} = \dfrac{10800}{150} = 72 km/hr$$
$$72 km/hr = 72\times\dfrac{5}{18} = 20 m/sec$$
