Question 64

If A is 25% less than B, then what will be the value of $$\frac{(2B — A)}{A}$$?

Solution

Let B be 100
Then A = 100 - 25% of 100 = 100 - 25 = 75
$$\dfrac{2B-A}{A} = \dfrac{2\times100 - 75}{75} = \dfrac{200-75}{75}$$

$$= \dfrac{125}{75} = \dfrac{5}{3}$$
