The ratio between the speeds of two trains is 5 : 7. If the first train covers 300 km in 3 hours, then the speed (in km/h) of the second train is:
Solution
It is given that :
first train covers 300 km in 3 hours,
Therefore speed of first train = 300/3 = 100km/hr
Now let speed of second train be v
Therefore
we get $$\frac{5}{7}=\frac{100}{v}$$
we get v = 140km/hr
