Question 62

If A : B = 1 : 4 and B : C = 2 : 3, then what is A : B : C?

Given = A : B = 1 : 4 and B : C = 2 : 3

=> $$\frac{A}{B}=\frac{1}{4}$$ -----------------(i)

and $$\frac{B}{C}=\frac{2}{3}$$ -----------------(ii)

Multiplying equation (ii) by '2', we get : $$\frac{B}{C}=\frac{4}{6}$$

Now, the value of B is same in both equation, => A : B : C = 1 : 4 : 6

=> Ans - (A)
