If 30% of a = b, then b% of 50 is the same as:
30% of a = b  Eq.(i)
b% of 50 = ?   Eq.(ii)
Put Eq.(i) in Eq.(ii).
? =Â (30% of a)% of 50
=Â $$\frac{(30\%\ of\ a)}{100}\times50$$
=Â $$\frac{(30\%\ of\ a)}{2}$$
=Â $$\frac{(30\%\times a)}{2}$$
=Â 15% of a
