An article has marked price of Rs 6800. If two successive discounts of 12% and 20% are given, then what will be the selling price (in Rs)?

Solution

Marked price = Rs. $$6800$$

After 1st discount of 12%, price = $$6800-(\frac{12}{100}\times6800)$$

= $$6800-816=5984$$

After 2nd discount of 20% (on changed price), selling price = $$5984-(\frac{20}{100}\times5984)$$

= $$5984-1196.8=Rs.$$ $$4787.2$$

=> Ans - (A)
