A beats B by 125 m in a kilometer race, that means when A covers 1000 m, B only covers 875 m in the same time
Let speed of B = $$x$$ m/s, and speed $$\propto$$ distance
=> $$\frac{1000}{875}=\frac{16}{x}$$
=> $$x=16\times\frac{7}{8}=14$$
$$\therefore$$ Speed of B = 14 m/s
=> Ans - (B)
