Seven persons have 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 chocolates with them. If each of them is given 5 chocolates additionally, what will be the average number of chocolates with them?
Solution
Since, the number of chocolates are in arithmetic progression, so the average chocolates with the seven persons presently will be the middle value = 50
After each is given 5 chocolates additionally, new average = $$50+5=55$$
