The average weight of nine persons is 25 kg.

total weight of nine persons = $$25\times9$$ = 225 kg Eq.(i)

If a new person joins this group, then the average weight becomes 26 kg.

total weight of the group when a new person joins = $$26\times10$$ = 260 kg Eq.(ii)

Weight of the new person = Eq.(ii)-Eq.(i)

= (260-225) kg

= 35 kg
